It's Friday night and I'm exhausted. Been run off my feet this week and I'm paying the price. But so many amazing things have happened and I just went with the flow of it all and said YES to all the opportunities that came my way.
As a result of meeting some amazing people last Sunday, I'm teaching a 4 week course at The Peaceful Feather in Kilsyth starting Tues October 8 from 12.30-2.30. There's only one place left despite only setting this up last Tuesday :) Thank you Karen:) This will be wonderful :) I'm well known for taking on strange and amazing challenges, especially the creative kinds. Wednesday arvo, I received a phone call from a guy asking me if I'd go and take pictures of a hot air balloon lifting a pallet of beer. I had to ask him to repeat himself coz I wasn't really sure that's what he had actually said. So with only an hours notice (when balloons go up, they go up quick to take advantage of weather conditions) I got my gear organised and drove the distance to Dixons Creek to Global Ballooning to meet Eric, the owner of Grandridge Brewery who was waiting with... Yes, a pallet load of beer! The balloon was harnessed to the pallet and a little while later, lifted it up into the heavens. Heaven for many a bloke, I tell ya! I documented the process with the little light remaining in the gorgeous late Spring arvo sunshine and then went home, emptied the card onto my computer and went virtually straight back out again to Kellys, in Olinda, to have dinner with friends and catch up with the awesome talent of the Wednesday night Open Mic Night! Thursday saw me attending the most amazing reading by my friend Isobel Blackthorn accompanied by her partner and my friend Alex Legg on guitar. It was a totally awesome hour or so and I was captivated. I 'filmed' the session (LOL - I sat behind the camcorder hahaha) and am looking forward to the next - thanks heaps guys - you were brill! Friday saw me meeting with Nancy Orsini Princi from Global Onslaught to talk about my beautiful sister Carol McCoy LOL - no seriously, we did, among other things:) Love you Carol! Then I sorta passed out in the chair with only 2 pages of my Stephen King novel to read... o_O Tomorrow I have my first ever online market! The Happy Hippie Markets on facebook are hosting a weekend market of which I will be part of:) I will be selling off some card decks and some prints :) Come along and join in the fun! All through this week, we have been working hard on the Android App, which is proving to be a naughty little monster! It's keeping us frustrated and antsy but hopefully it will be ready really soon!!!!!!!!! The Apple one is going great guns - just visit the App page:) And as soon as the Android app hits Play Store, the facebook freebie will be up and running with all the links:) Anyhoo - I am feckin' knackered and need sleep:) Have a brilliant weekend everyone:) Love and Blessings <3 <3 <3 Comments are closed.
